I know you haven't actually asked me to tell you all about...well, me. However, seeing as most websites have an 'about' section these days I figured you'd be a little non-plussed not to find one, and we can't have that can we?
Hello. My name is John Wyles and I live, work and play in London.
First off, thanks very much for visiting my portfolio – there are a lot of very talented designers out there so I appreciate you taking the time to look at some of my work!
I have been dabbling in web and graphic design now for around five years and in the last three years I decided to see if I could turn what was essentially just a hobby into something a little more ’serious’. Although I don’t have formal training in design, I have a huge enthusiasm for designing and building stuff both on and offline which looks great and works.
I have been very lucky to work with some fantastic clients who have provided challenging design briefs which have pushed me to improve my work with almost every job. I particularly enjoy working with non-profit organisations and social enterprises. The people working in these organisations tend to be passionate and driven about their work and this enthusiasm tends to rub off on me! I take pride in the good relationships I’ve built with my existing clients and I always go the extra mile to make sure that everyone is happy with the work I produce.
If you have a design problem and you think I might be the man to solve it then please don’t hesitate to get in touch – I’d love to hear from you!
(P.S. In case you’re wondering, the ‘LJ’ stands for Little John. Don’t ask me why but that nickname has followed me around since I was a kid. I’m 5′ 10″ so it’s neither ironic nor literal – just so happens that whenever there’s another John around I seem to be just a little bit shorter!)
