Creation of 16 page booklet designed to give carers information on how to save energy in their homes.

Southwark EnergyCare is a scheme managed by Southwark Carers. Part of the project required the creation of an information booklet to give carers information of a wide range of energy-saving topics. The booklet was designed to present a good deal of information in a format that was easy on the eye and not too daunting, whilst also fitting into the wider branding of Southwark Carers. The design of this booklet has now become the standard for other materials published by the charity.

Site design and coding for Southwark Carers, a charity looking after the needs of carers in south London.

This work involved a complete redesign of the existing Southwark Carers website which had become too static and hard to update. The new design is intended to be easier to navigate and crucially easier to update by Southwark Carers staff members. The simple design is to facilitate use by carers who may have limited time or IT skills and need to find informations quickly and easily. Work on this site included:

Review of existing site design and content.

Creation of new site design

Coding of a custom Wordpress theme.

Implementation of Wordpress as a CMS.

Initial design of pages to fit in with existing branding guidelines for the Thameswey Group

Coding of standards compliant XHTML/CSS layout to match agreed design
